updating to a new version of the map: go to the addons folder,
place the zip there, delete the map folder, then unzip the
new version. then go to your "c:\program
files\steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\maps" folder
and delete
any files that have to do with my map there also. this ensures that only the newest
version remains on your computer.
Fort October Change Log
WORKING ON: fixing the "nav flow" problem cause the nav analize command doesnt ever work. go figure!
20091017: fixed all the bugs that came with the Crash Course
update (nice job valve), made a new poster, fixed
the radio once again, and i'm done. fuck the L4D team. its ridiculous the shit
you gotta do to make it work.
20090928: tuned up the intro, added seating to balconies, a grill by the picnic table, plus some other bug fixes.
20090927: added rough intro sequence, display on 2nd floor (will have special function later), & vents under tower.
20090923: nav fixes, added visuals, tweaked sounds, new poster to radio shed. re-recording custom audio soon.
20090920: infected can now climb up the sides of the fort, changed a few roof areas, & the custom radio now works.
20090918: over 20 bugs fixed. skybox & grass pan improvements. lights & ambient sounds optimized & finalized.
20090915: ambient sound loops all over map. power house hums, garage has deep rumble, TVs hiss, forest chirps, etc.
20090914: nav mesh complete. works perfect now! still has
"map unplayable" message but chalk that up
to lazy asses at Valve South cause nothing works like it's supposed to. everything's
a work-around.
20090912: funny posters added to the walls. fixed some lighting. send more bug reports!
