Crash [20090511]: dude thats fuckin epic...u gotta help me for when i do my videos later this year
Brad T [20090515]:
Honestly, the video wasn't bad. However, when I critique things, I can seem a
bit harsh, only because I'm a fucking detail FREAK.
The portrayal of the video, in itself, seemed a bit comical with the style. For
instance, the hands curling up toward the sky seemed like it would be something
straight out of a comic book to me.
If anything, the lyrics should match a video with something a bit more morbid or
macabre. I like the footage of the police scene, which actually adds a sense of
curiosity to the viewer, which initially drew me in.
The rest of it seemed more like a montage to you, as the lyricist, and actually
drew away the point of the cryptic messages of the video. It seemed more like
you should be a part of the events within the video, instead of just providing
the lyrics as a whole.
From my point of view, I think it would be great if you were committing some
form of what you were singing about, WHILE you were performing whatever act it
was on another "stunt" individual. That way, it would create a more convincing
aura for your message and image.
For instance, when you say the lines "I walk off and leave you a mystery," it
would be awesome if you were walking away from a body lying on the ground, with
only your feet in view of the camera.
To me, it would be awesome if you actually didn't present your actual face in
the video, to leave it AS a mystery to whom was actually singing in the video,
which would draw more attention to those that like what you do. The less you
make yourself visible, will actually create that level of detail leaving your
viewers wanting to know more.
In all, the lyrics were great, as well as the quality of the video. I didn't
even need to click the HD link that you added, simply because it was fine as it
was, which is pretty fucking rare... so props on that.
I know that you spent a lot of time on the video, and I don't want to turn you
down at all (especially after knowing you for so damn long dude...), but I know
that you can definitely improve this a LOT. Hell, if you believe that it's good
in your eyes, stay with it, dude. Everyone's a critic. However, if you want any
kind of help in video production, as far as guidelines, let me know man. I'd
love to help you reach your goals.
Also, sorry for not replying as soon as I feel I can...
I'm doing Honor Guard for the Air Force, so I've been doing a LOT of funeral
ceremonies lately, which leave me completely drained afterwards.
Just let me know how you feel with my thoughts, dude. I enjoy it when others ask
for my true thoughts, buddy. :)
Ben [20090606]: It's badass, like the transition
Dodsondd [20090624]: Amazing. 10/10 I love you.
